K-6 Disciplinary Policy
May 17, 2008

• Students in kindergarten get an additional warning and consequences may be reduced.

• Severe behaviors may lead to more serious consequences. District policies may lead to more serious consequences for severe hitting, threats, bullying and harassment. If the student has broken the law, the school will inform the police.

• Upon the fourth offense, he/she may be referred to ICAN.

• The student action team may decide to change consequences and will work with the student on changing the behavior.

• After individual plans are developed, the individual plan may outline different consequences.

• Although this rubric outlines the consequences, each case will be handled on an individual basis.
