After School Music Classes - For Upper Elementary Students (Grades 4, 5, 6)
Guitar: Tuesdays, starting January 8th, 2008
Taught by Mr. Barnes with help from Sam Larsen (5th grader)
Violin: Wednesdays, starting January 9th
Taught by Carson Newland (ICHS student) and Mr. Barnes (with help from Mrs. Ogden)
Choir: Thursdays, starting January 10th - Taught by Mr. Barnes
After School, from 3:30 to 5:00. The Activity Bus could be available for some students.
All three classes will run for 12 weeks with an “Informance” (an informal, informative performance) at the end of the run.
No auditions! All 4th, 5th, and 6th graders are welcome, but I will ask for a full 12 week commitment from each individual.
Your student will need their own instrument. The school does not have instruments to loan out for this program.

Prime Time for Kids
Basin School District 72 provides an after school program Prime Time for Kids two days per week, using the best practice Positive Action curriculum. Positive Action teaches positive social skills including decision making, problem solving, and making healthy life choices. Approximately eighty students in grades one through sixth are enrolled in the program. Students attend either a Tuesday or Wednesday session. Students are provided tutoring, mentoring, drug prevention information, alternative recreation activities, and community service activities.
Basin Elementary offers after school homework assistance and tutoring three days a week to eligible students. Students are provided with forty-five minutes of homework time and an additional forty-five minutes of tutoring using the PLATO software for reading and math.
