Character Education

This quote will emphasize one of our four character traits of respect, citizenship, responsibility, and integrity. We will discuss this quote at school and encourage you to talk about it with your children at home. This week’s quote is:

“The more that you read, the more things you’ll know.  The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

 –Dr. Seuss

Bogus Basin Ski/Snowboard Trip

The trip is scheduled for March 11 th. If your child sent helmet money in, we will return the $6 on the day of the trip and they will be able to rent their helmet. Students may also bring money the day of the trip to rent a helmet. Please make sure that your child brings the following items on the day of the trip: coat, snow pants, gloves, hat, sunglasses or goggles, layers of warm clothing, and a lunch or money to purchase something at the lodge.

Students will not be able to bring ski or snowboard equipment on the regular morning bus, so please make arrangements to send the equipment up to the school.

YMCA Dance and Gymnastics for Kindergarten and Preschoolers

The Treasure Valley Family YMCA is partnering with our community to bring your child a fun and active afterschool program on Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The program will focus on active movement and fun through dance, gymnastics and various sports activities aimed at younger learners.  The curriculum will incorporate the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and, of course, fun!

Volunteers are needed!  We are looking for both parent program leaders and teen program assistants.  The YMCA will provide training prior to the beginning of the program and support throughout.  For more information, contact Krista Young at 392-4520 or at frumkrby@msn.com.
